In this area of exposed Canadian Shield numerous ponds and small bodies of water abound. Many, if not most of them, are the result of beavers creating their own aquatic environments resulting in wetlands that support a variety wildlife. These bodies of water were all beside Highway 69 and part of the extensive wilderness in Ontario.
